Strikeforce will be broadcasting a live event this Saturday from Nashville and the California based organization is really stepping it up this time around. Dan Henderson is one of the hottest free agents in the mma game and Hendo will be making his Strikeforce debut against middleweight champion Jake Sheilds. Sheilds is known as a grappling innovator and promoter of the hybrid American Jiu Jitsu style. Henderson on the other hand is a tested veteran and many believe Hendo may walk out of his Strikeforce debut with their middleweight belt around his waist. Strikeforce is pulling out all the stops in this event with two other title fights. Gilbert Melendez will put his lightweight belt on the line against Shinya Aoki as Aoki makes his American fighting debut. The BJJ and Judo blackbelt and Shooto expert Aoki will present a stiff test for Melendez in what could be a night of title changes. Rounding out the card light heavyweight champion Gerard Mousasi will defend his crown against former NCAA national wrestling champion Muhammed Lawal. To counter this night of action packed live fights the UFC will be broadcasting their UFC 110 pay per view opposite the Strikeforce event on the Spike network. Who will win these epic Stikeforce title fights? Does Strikeforce have what it takes to be a solid competitor to the UFC? We want to know what you think.
