American Combat Association

The Showdown in the Sunshine State was a live ACA event that took place at the International Wrestling Academy in Sanford Florida on Saturday April 14.  This event features a boxing match between ACA President Matt "Granimal" Granahan and four time national Ju Jitsu champion and golden gloves boxing champion Jeff "The Iceman" Hammond.  The event also features a catch as catch can wrestling tournement.  Competing in the tournament are Jeff "The Iceman" Hammond, high school and freestyle wrestling champion Josh "Mr USA" Citron, Tae Kwon Do blackbelt and amateur wrestler Alan "Big Al" D, and amateur and catch wrestler TJ "Shooting Star" Rodriguez.  The finalists in the catch as catcht h can wrestling tournament compete in an mma fight held under ACA's official "Boxer versus Wrestler" Rules.
